Monthly Competition Results

The Bolton Camera Club meets weekly throughout most of the year and gives a very warm welcome to visitors and new members. We have been sharing a passion for photography since 1884 and are more than happy to share with you, whether your interest is in film or digital, audio visual or more technical aspects of photography.

Our first Theme competition of 2022 took place on Thursday 31st March. The theme was “Rust” and it was judged by Daryl Giles from St. Annes Photographic Society.

There were 11 prints, and these were shown first. After the initial run through, Daryl gave his constructive and helpful comments and scores, holding back four for further review. He awarded the full 20 points to “Rust – Shapes and Textures” by Richard Towell.

The 40 PDI were shown next, and Daryl awarded the full twenty points to two images as he could not separate them, they were “Sea Otter R.A.6 - R.I.P” by Mike Williamson and “We Buy Any Car” by Pete Corser.
