Monthly Competition Results

The Bolton Camera Club meets weekly throughout most of the year and gives a very warm welcome to visitors and new members. We have been sharing a passion for photography since 1884 and are more than happy to share with you, whether your interest is in film or digital, audio visual or more technical aspects of photography.

Our fourth print competition of the year took place on 15th August and this time our guest judge Mike Davis from Rochdale.

There were 37 prints in the Beginners Class and after a run through Mike gave us his comments and scores out of twenty points. He said that the images were all of a “very good quality” and selected 8 to hold back.

Scoring 18 points was “Splash of Milk” by Peter Thomasson and “Hurry Along my Deer” by Jim Clough.

Awarded 19 points were “Red Alert” by Phil Durkin, “Grasp” by Neil Pilkington. and “Delicate Arch” by Peter Thomasson

The three prints given the full 20 points were “The Gift” by Phil Durkin, “Damselfly at Tatton” by Amanda Twigg and “Catching Up” by Pat Berry
