The Bolton Camera Club meets weekly throughout most of the year and gives a very warm welcome to visitors and new members. We have been sharing a passion for photography since 1884 and are more than happy to share with you, whether your interest is in film or digital, audio visual or more technical aspects of photography.
Out third theme competition of the year was held on 28 July, and we welcomed our guest judge Diana Magor. Diana is an international judge, and past president of Hoylake Photographic Society.
She had a look at the prints just prior to the start of the evening, and sorted them in an order that meant the lower scoring prints were displayed first and the potentially better prints followed on.
After a run through, Diana gave her constructive comments and held some back. She was ultimately left with three prints, and awarded the full 20 points to “1 O’clock” by Pete Corser.

After the break the PDI were shown, and Diane again gave very helpful comments and opinions on each of them. The full 20 points was given to “Dawn Reflections” by David Hawkins.

We thank Diana for all her comments and scores, and our congratulations go to the winners.
