The Bolton Camera Club meets weekly throughout most of the year and gives a very warm welcome to visitors and new members. We have been sharing a passion for photography since 1884 and are more than happy to share with you, whether your interest is in film or digital, audio visual or more technical aspects of photography.

There is nothing quite like testing your photographs in a competition to discover how your photography is progressing. In the Bolton Camera Club fellow members are always willing to give helpful advice and support, but the real test comes when your images are placed before an independent judge. In its monthly competitions the Bolton Camera Club uses approved and trained judges to assess images and give helpful advice about improvement.

The monthly competitions include  categories for beginners, intermediate, and more advanced workers. There is also a monthly 'themed' competition to test members' skills.

There are also opportunities for members to try their skills against the best of the region in external competitions ranging across Lancashire and Cheshire. In addition we battle it out with our colleagues in the Bury Photographic Society twice a year, and have annual matches against the Wigan Photographic Society and the Swinton Camera Club.

Come along and join us to test your skills!
