Days Out

The Bolton Camera Club meets weekly throughout most of the year and gives a very warm welcome to visitors and new members. We have been sharing a passion for photography since 1884 and are more than happy to share with you, whether your interest is in film or digital, audio visual or more technical aspects of photography.

We organise several days out for the enjoyment and benefit of our club members. These are conducted in an informal basis, and are an ideal opportunity for members to learn and develop their skills with other members, and exchange ideas and develop friendships.

A club Day Out is one that is organised by a club member and must include at least two members. All dates, venue, times etc. must be entered in the Days Out book on display at the club, and must be announced at least two weeks (i.e. two meetings) beforehand, to give all other members the chance to go.

At the end of each year we hold a Day Out competition where prints and PDI taken at a day out event are eligible to be submitted. A trophy is awarded to the authors of the best print and the best PDI as judged at this competition.

If any member of this club has an idea for a Day Out they are encouraged to write it in the Suggestion Book available at the Club every Thursday. We particularly welcome ideas and suggestions for 2020 activities and locations.

Members are encouraged to arrange their own car sharing, and bear in mind it might be difficult to stay in large groups at some of these events.
